Enjoy!<br />I've just finished working my way through several 5 foot stacks of home dec and homemaking magazines and distilled what I want to keep down to a short stack of clippings. I have done this often over the years and filed the results in page protectors in a thick 3 ring binder or two (or three!) and find this works really well.Have fun with your family today.<br />JanetJanethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17643680000059427128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6903254831788244923.post-69428997464407248912010-04-04T08:28:38.047-05:002010-04-04T08:28:38.047-05:00Happy Easter. After trying the recipe and deciding it is a "keeper" I type it into my recipe file on my computer and toss the paper. Every two years my family brings copies of their favorites and we put together a "cookbook." I think I cook from our family books about 75% of the time!YankeeQuilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03324287185970922332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6903254831788244923.post-74098303062699984042010-04-03T18:45:48.539-05:002010-04-03T18:45:48.539-05:00I use binders too with plastic page protectors. When I get ready for a recipe I just print it out. I just can't deal with all the paper. Then I toss the torn out page. I usually lose it before I cook the recipe again, so I just print again. I shred and recycle my paper though so as to try and not waste.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11540839278300068747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6903254831788244923.post-71964230316082375532010-04-03T17:41:54.234-05:002010-04-03T17:41:54.234-05:00Walmart has some very nice expandable file holder-...Walmart has some very nice expandable file holder-briefcase-things. I got one with 20 dividers for my cross stitch patterns, but they had them with 10 and with 30. They have a handle, so it's convenient to carry around. I do the same thing with magazines - I never get around to putting them on recipe cards and in any of my boxes. So I have assorted pages folded and stuffed places, and then I never try any of them!drea_dearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13068102855640128153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6903254831788244923.post-12226069993543809212010-04-03T17:38:38.527-05:002010-04-03T17:38:38.527-05:00that top stack of fabric is very French General-es...that top stack of fabric is very French General-esque. Eventually, I had so many recipes that I now have 4 binders (appetizers, main meals that are meatless, meats/fish, and desserts). Each binder has a certain order, for instance, the meat binder starts with meals made with chicken, then pork, then beef, and then fish. I put similar recipes together. If I try a recipe and I do not like it, I just take it out of the insert and throw it out. If I do like it, I rate it. I am not sure if this helps, but good luck and have fun.Talin's Cornerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15848341999685056065noreply@blogger.com
